Good news and fingers crossed - I can export as again. I found a comment about the appdata roaming and did a complete uninstall, discovered that the 2017 & 2018 appdata files were still there, deleted everything in the roaming folder related to both 20 Photoshop and then did a complete reinstall of Photoshop. I updated to 2018 Photoshop and the export as did not work at all. or isn't this why we pay Adobe for the product? Now getting really frustrated and start looking for free online apps for students to optimize for web. I read through a lot of posts, tried just about everything, from reinstalling, to holding down control alt shift or whatever it was, and the problem get coming and going. By now I am getting really frustrated - I have a class on Monday and I have to teach the students how to Export As.
Weird -I would open and close Photoshop - work for a bit, and then Photoshop would not export as. Two nights ago I started experiencing intermittent success with 2017 Photoshop not exporting as - simply give me an error or just keep processing.
